Caen with Offensive Concerns – Marseille goes as the train
Then it was soon weekend – at least, long awaited! We will start the meeting between Caen and Marseille on Friday evening, a very interesting meeting that offers an interesting corner game.
Caen is placed in a tenth place in the table, something that surprises me very much, considering that the home team won only 14 (!) Goals in 21 played matches this season. It is a target crossing of 0.64 goals / match, which is obviously under all criticism. The fact that you are not further down in the table is a minor below me. Lastly, from a heavy 2-0 victory over Bordeaux, with two goals in the 89th and 90 minutes, the win was undoubtedly far in. In general, Caen’s matches have left a lot to be desired in terms of entertainment value, the fact is that 20 of the team’s 24 latest league matches have fallen below the 2.5-line.
Marseille are also coming from a 2-0 win against Strasbourg at the latest, a victory that by the way was the fourth in the team. The form curve points upward for Patrice Garande’s man, who is now undefeated in 15 of the 16 last league matches. We find the guests on a strong third place in the table, with a stick up to Lyon in the second place. Marseille has clearly exceeded all expectations of the team ahead of the season. Of course, one should see with great victory chances against a clearly weaker Caen, if we look at the peers statistics between the teams, Marseille has won the last four meetings against Caen. There two last meetings have ended all 5-1 to Marseille.
However, I choose to avoid the 1X2 market, instead, I turn my eyes on the corner market.

Marseille wins the corner duel
Marseille scraps the highest number of corners in the match, clicks 1.76 times the money. A game that definitely has to be seen to be a really nice odds.
Marseille is a team that, more often than not, prefers a lot of ball possession and a game takeover – it’s no coincidence that you create the second most corners of all teams throughout the league. On average, you create 6.43 corners / matches, while opposing 3,86 corners / matches – only PSG and Bordeaux give away fewer corners. In 14 out of 21 games played more cornersteps than opponents, purely percent it corresponds to 67% of the matches.
I’m hard to see Caen take the game against a magnificent Marseille home, despite. Expect a match image where the home team gets really backed-down, a match image that obviously speaks for the corner game.
Game tips: Marseille’s most corners
I play Marseille to create the most corners to 1.76 times the money – expect a match image where the home team are squeezed back, while the guests put the tone of the match relatively early.
