The seventeenth round of the Spanish Championship 2017/2018 edition will come to an end this Saturday, December 23, with the match involving La Coruña and Celta. The game, to be held at the Riazor stadium in La Coruña, is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. (Brasília time).
The final day of the year began on Tuesday, December 19, and had daily games until this Saturday, when the tournament will be paralyzed for the Christmas and New Year holidays. It will only be resumed on January 6.

The recent performance of La Coruña

The six defeats in the last ten matches have eliminated La Coruña in the King’s Cup match and also caused the team to fall in the Spanish Championship standings.
After leading 4-0 to Barcelona in the sixteenth round, the team was on the edge of the relegation zone occupying the seventeenth place with 15 points (four wins, three draws and nine losses). As in the previous season, the fight against relegation should continue until the final days.
To receive Celta, coach Cristóbal Parralo must leave to set the team as late as possible. After all, there are a number of players in the care of the medical department and depends on new tests to know who can count on Saturday.
They are in this situation the goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon (six games in the season 2017/2018 of the Spanish Championship); defenders Alejandro Arribas (three games, no goal) and Gerard Valentin (two games, no goal); and the socks Javier Bicho (without performances) and Federico Cartabia (14 games, two goals).

The current form of Celta

The last three rounds were a headache for Celta. The table established clashes against teams that are in the top places of the leaderboard. A draw, just against the best of those teams, was the only point won by the Vigo team that managed to start the 2 to 2 of Barcelona in Catalonia.
Against Valencia, Celta took 2 to 1. But the worst of the results was even in the sixteenth round when, at home, lost by 1 to 0 of Villarreal. With 18 points (five wins, three draws and eight losses), he fell to thirteenth.
The only good news this time for coach Juan Carlos Unzue came from the medical department, which was completely emptied. Thus, without problems of injury or suspension, can put on the field this Saturday the team that considered better to overcome the Corunna.

History of the bouts between La Coruña and Celta
Celta have not lost to La Coruña for four games. It was three wins and a draw in the period.

The three-point margin that separates the teams on the Spanish league standings table does not give an accurate reflection of the financial and technical difference between the teams. Celta has a lot more resources than La Coruña. This created an expectation that he would campaign quite well, even fighting for a place in continental tournaments.
It is this technical advantage that makes the team of Vigo be pointed as the best option to guess in the duel of this Saturday. It has a price of 2.70 in Rivalo. The return in case of a tie is 3.30 for each real invested. Success of home owners allows to multiply the investment by 2.60.
